The annual Rochdale Island night is to be held on the Bank Holiday Weekend Saturday 23rd August 2008
Venue : Richmond Hall. Whitworth Road, Rochdale
Time: 7pm till late
The evening will Include traditional "Meke" Dancing from our female and male membership. Salu Salu sales,
Disco till late, Indian Buffets, and much more
Price is £10 per Adult,under 16s free

We will on Sunday the 24th be attending our local church for prayers and thanks giving. Then moving on to a local Hostelry for Lunch.

Our association has been invited to take part in the relaunch of the Headingley Carnegie Rugby League 9s competion to be staged on Wednesday 27th August at the World Famous Leeds Headingley Stadium this year, Other teams invited include Leeds Rhinos,Bradford Bulls, 4 other Professional Super League clubs,the Brithish Army and a select team from Cumbria. We are delighlighted to accept this invitation !! The Interest this has created in the Rugby World Media has been phenominal, we have been approached by one of the Worlds Leading Rugby clothing manufacturer who are willing to provide us with playing kit and accessories, the Tv media interest is also growing

Whilst having a number of players here in Rochdale who play at a very
High standard. we are offering the chance to all UK based fijian rugby players of either code to take and be part of a unique fantastic Rugby Event, this may the only oppurtunity for UK based fijian players to put them in the shop window for selection to the FIJI BATIs who play in this years Rugby league World cup In Australia in November 2008

A great time was had by all,the Holiday encaptulated what it was supposed to do, everyone getting on from the oldest who was...? to the youngest ...!! I hope to post some pictures in the next few days .
