Island Nights
One of the many positive things that have emerged recently in the association is the formation of the ladies “meke” dance troupe.
They decided themselves that they would like to perform at the 2007 Island night. Practice sessions were well attended and they themselves turned into a real social occasions for them.
They dedicated so much time in their efforts both in the routines, dress and commitment. The atmosphere, energy and anticipation on the Island night just before, during and at the end of their performance were electric. They were pure class and worth the admission price alone.
The only negative was, quoting from a member of the troupe with real disappointment in her voice “ what are we going to do on Thursday nights now?”
